D Major Scale on the D string

Build a major scale with the formula:

W W H W W W H

We learn the D major scale has two sharps (F# and C#) and that means the key of D major has two sharps (F# and C#). The key signature below means we do not the sharp signs in front of the F or C's on the staff. All F and C's will be played as F# and C#

Lesson 6 : To build a D major scale in 2nd position
Lesson 13 : D major scale in 2nd extended (includes B Minor and pentatonic)
Lesson 16 : D major/B minor in 5th and 7th positions (includes pentatonic)
