Hi my name is Teague Purtell
and the members section is basically the first 20 lessons
plus some extra fun stuff you would study with me if you were
to study with me in person. Each lesson was designed to practice
daily for a week before moving on to the next.
From beginner to advanced you
will learn about scales, chords, strumming, soloing, theory,
ear training, arpeggios, reading and technique.
The lessons progress quickly
with each new idea expanding on previous ideas to constantly
reinforce what you have already learned.

Plus learn how to practice and what
to practice to get the results you want.
And of course what fun it is to learn
the guitar and not learn some fun riffs. So each lesson has a riff
that connects with the material in the lesson. Great riffs by Led
Zepplin, Joe Satriani, Collective Soul, Blink 182, Lit, Nirvana,
Steve Vai, , Papa Roach, Eric Clapton, Marty Friedman, Megadeth,
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Veruca Salt, White Zombie, Pink Floyd, Metallica
and more.

More about me
I have earned my living as a professional musician since 1991
and since 1995 have taught anywhere from 45-96 students a
week. I started this site in 1999 to give students I taught
in person each week a way to get help with the lesson topics
online. As the site grew and more and more people started
using it that I did not teach in person each week, I began
focusing on making it a complete online method for anyone,
anywhere in the world. If you would like to know more about
me you can read my Bio .
