Nemesis
Arch Enemy and C Standard Tuning
This is the intro riff to the Arch Enemy song called Nemesis. The song has lots of cool riffs which I will teach.
C Standard Tuning
The song is recorded in C standard tuning which means each string is dropped two whole steps or you can think of it as 4 half steps. Because that is quite a drop, typically you would want heavier gauge strings to counter the lack of tension that would be created by dropping each string so much.
For this lesson we will play it in standard tuning. It won't match the record however it is easier than having to go get different strings and tune your guitar down. If you click either button on the page, you will be notified when I put the next section of this tune up, it will also include more information on tuning if you decide you do want to tune down.
Standard Notation
Standard notation is easy to learn. The fretboard diagrams and note names underneath will make it easy. Plus we are going to break it down big time 🙂
