Run to You - Main Riff

Easy and super cool Bryan Adams riff from Run to You
This live stream celebrates Canada Day and learning some riffs from some Canadian musicians. As most streams we venture away into some other territory but some very valuable information.
3:20 - 3:41
This is the main riff in the song. Breakdown to learn it is below:

3:42 - 5:29
Here is measure 1 and the breakdown for it. I didn't mark the picking in. Of course you could alternate pick the entire riff or play it all down. You may notice in the video I am not doing either. I am breaking the rules. This is how I learned it as a kid and I still play it the same way 🙂
I am going down down up down down up down up

There is a repeat sign because I will add an mp3 for playing along with that will repeat however in the song it is only played once before moving to the G chord.
Em7

5:30 - 6:24
Next we learn measure 2. Fairly easy as we add just one finger to our Em7 shape to give us a G chord and then we move the whole shape up one whole step to finish the 2 measure riff.
Note: At 6:12 I call the A chord an Asus4 but that is not correct because the chord has the 3rd (C#), it would have to be called an Aadd4. In order for it to be called a sus4 the 3rd is replaced with the 4th.

Like above there is a repeat sign because I will add an mp3 for playing along with that will repeat however in the song it is only played once before moving back to the Em7 chord.
G

Aadd4

5:33 - 7:36
Someone mentions Secrets by One Republic and I attempt to play it. lol. It is however broken down here.
7:37 - 8:22
Review of the 2 measure riff!
8:40 - 9:09
The chorus and the 4 chords. At 9:09 I sneeze and totally lose my focus. lol
