Power Chord

We hear power chords everywhere!  Country, rock, pop, metal!

First up the power chord isn't really a chord at all by definition.

The definition of a chord is 3 or more notes however a power chord can be just 2.

A root and a 5th.

The root will the name of the power chord.  A power chord has a root of A.  The 5th is a perfect 5th higher.  Which we will talk more about further down the page.
