Arpeggio Lesson 6

A look at the D major arpeggio in 2nd Position

Quarter Notes

Don't worry about reading music.  The standard notation below simply starts on the D (5th fret of your A string) and goes all the way up to the A (5th fret of your high E string).

Eventually you will not need to have the note names underneath 🙂

Eighth Notes

Sixteenth Notes

Jam Track

The jam track we are using is from a tripfuse song called Mr. Nothin.  In the solo section, the progression is two bars of a B minor chord and 2 bars of an E7 chord repeating throughout the solo.

Try using the D major arpeggio from above and moving it a whole step higher for E and play along using quarter notes, eighth notes, etc.

The D Major/B Minor Pentatonic scale is fun to use too!
