Bb Major Scale
And its Relative G Minor
This is part of Lesson 17.
We build a Bb major scale by using the major scale formula:
W W H W W W H
We get:
Bb C D Eb F G A Bb
Therefore the key of Bb has two flats and those flats are Bb and Eb.
Bb majors relative minor is G minor.
This means the key of G minor also has two flats and those are also Bb and Eb.

Extended - the same scale as above however the low A is added on your low E string and the high C on your high E string.

Pentatonic - removing the 4th and 7th degree from the Bb major scale leaves us with a Bb major pentatonic scale. Also called G minor pentatonic.

G minor pentatonic: G Bb C D F
