Arpeggio Lesson 7
D Minor Arpeggio in 2nd Position
In Arpeggio Lesson 6 we looked at a D major arpeggio in 2nd position and we learned the notes of a D major chord and arpeggio are built from the 1st, 3rd and 5th degree of a D major scale. These are:

We lower the 3rd degree to make a D minor chord or arpeggio. So in the case of D major we lower the F# a half step to F and we have the notes of a D minor chord or arpeggio:
D F A
In Scale Lesson 7 we learn a C major scale in 2nd position and we learn that the D minor would be the ii chord in the key of C.
