Newsletters - Been added to menu
Let list know what is coming and how it will help them.
Classic Rock Series, Easy Rock Riffs, Secrets of Strumming, etc.
Possible other email provider: mailerlite or emailoctopus
Goal: eventually sell them something
Can I create content for every email?
Or will some emails need to just have video content?
IMPORTANT FEB 2026: get mailchimp list less than 500. Ideally around 450 or so.
Take anyone that has never gotten anything from me (so there is no past open or click info anyway) and move to mailerlite.
Start by going through the Free Members 0 and check to make sure they aren't also on the master list. Once finished with that, export list and import into mailer lite.
Members (Non Paying)
Is there any point to keep any of the people that got full membership for free in 2017?
Specially the people that didn't even get logged in. Or got logged in once. They didn't get any newsletters at all. It has been 9 years. Is there any point even trying to engage them?
So email list is being cleaned up big time and a second email service is going to be used (Mailerlite).
To start with I am moving the emails that never received anything from me. Soloing in D, Sweet Home, Peace Train, Chords, Brainstew, etc.
The goal is to get them back on the master list in mailchimp. So how do I do that?
They need to receive what they joined for and then if they don't open any they get removed
2025
5 Minute Guitar Lesson on Arpeggios (anything really)
Practice (blank - arpeggios, triads, scales, etc) like this to skyrocket your playing
Triads - why they are so important to improve your playing
Once I get ready to start new newsletters, it is important all of the emails collected first get what they signed up for (improvising lessons, classic rock riffs, etc,)
And then the new video lessons and newsletters should be continuation of lesson (peace train, master of puppets, etc.)

The improvising page video is good and should be included but how do I do that. Best case would be they are sent to the LAM with this lesson being part of it.
There is a live stream or two focused on improvising that could potentially be a part of this. Just need to find them.
Improvising - until Jan.18, 2026 this page sent to Blues Series on Soloing (not the master list). As of Jan. 18, 2026 it sends to Master List with last name Improvising. I had written that it had not collected a single email address however there are currently 6 people in the Master List with the Tag Blues Soloing. So not sure whether they came in from the Improvising page and I moved them and tagged them and forgot or whether they came from another page (possibly one of the blues arpeggio or scale pages?). I don't believe the stats for visitors to this page are very high.

Something to Consider
Once I start this re-engagement campaign, I want to make sure I get to all of the emails and not forget any.
So for example, I have the master list but I also want to make sure I send an email to the Beginner Chord people, for ex.
So how do I keep track of all of that. Start with the lists:
Master List - people that got email from me. So prior to 2018, and then everyone else on this list has come in with a specific interest (peace train, chords, etc)
The idea (I think) would be to eventually just have everyone on this weekly master list. But in the mean time they will need more specific emails.
- Peace Train
- Beginner Chords
- Bar Chords
- Fingerpicking (this one is tough because I think the email list were mixed up)
Musiclearning.Com Series on Strumming
Secrets to Strumming - takes them to Free Lesson Page
This should take them to a thank you page that lets them know the first lesson is coming through email. Although ideally it would just take them to the 1st page then I either time the other lessons to be sent through email or they can go through at their own pace. Leaning towards latter.
2017
June - 19 (ran FB ads - Secret to Srumming, I think that is what it was called)
July - 4

Musiclearning.Com Series on Strumming from Site
Collected 2 email addresses in September 2017. The Strumming page has pointed to signup page for quite a while now and no longer collects email addresses.
Would like to change this and go back to collecting email addresses once this whole mailchimp thing is sorted and there is only one master list with groups and segments.

Finished - May 30, 2020
List was added to Master List and addresses tagged Blues Soloing. Blues Series on Soloing mailing list will stay in place until I can figure out how to group from the master list.
