F Major Scale in 7th Position

F Major Scale is built the same way we have built every other major scale.  Start on an F and use the formula:

We get:

F G A Bb C D E F

Therefore the key of F  major has one flat and that is Bb.

F Major Pentatonic

Build by removing the 4th and 7th degree of the any major scale to make it pentatonic.  In the case of the F major scale, we would remove the Bb and E.  We are left with F major pentatonic:

Play from D to D for a D minor scale.
