D Minor Arpeggios

A look at a few forms of D minor arpeggios

Below you will find the different forms of a D minor arpeggio found throughout the method.  Note the 5th Position D minor arpeggio we see below starts on the A (the 5th).  This sometimes makes it a bit more difficult to remember and find easily.  We will find some ways of making that easier.

G Minor Arpeggios

A look at a few ways of playing a G minor arpeggio

The above video is from a live stream I did on March 6th, 2019 and it covers this G minor arpeggio you will find below.  The stream covers a lot of material besides the G minor arpeggio and I will provide links at the bottom of this lesson to the other material.

We learned a G major arpeggio on strings 5 and 6 in lesson 3 and then again in lesson 10.  If we lowered the 3rd degree (B) one half step we would have a G minor arpeggio.  This example to the right would require a bit of a stretch so another way to play it would be to play the Bb on the 6th fret as shown below.

I will add a video and jam track to go on this page along with some links to related material.  These arpeggios are fun to play along with the Am-Dm jam track.

This next Am arpeggio shape is meant to be tapped.  It involves a rather large stretch however to practice the tapping you can make it an A major arpeggio by raising the C to C#.  This will make it a bit easier on the hand.
