Classic Rock Series
Popular Riffs, Licks and Songs from the 70's and 80's

I should also put a short plug for membership or another series that would work well in conjunction with this Classic Rock Series like Chord Series.
6 Weeks and 6 Super Cool Riffs
Class Starts Feb. 2, 2026
What would be the fastest and easiest way to make this 6 lesson course?
It needs to be great and most importantly be fun and the students should walk away playing a few cool riffs and playing them well. Added bonus they learn a little theory along the way.
Does it involve any scale or arpeggio or chord lessons? Ideally create interest in becoming a member or buying other courses.
- Fun
- Easy
- Clear
- w/ good video
- w/ good notation files, breakdown and fretboards
- w/ play along mp3's (not as important right away)

This lesson just needs to be cleaned up. It also currently has 3 parts and still has people viewing it on youtube. Also has lead magnet: Sweet Home Alabama Lead Magnet
Off the bands 1974 album titled Second Helping
- Good Video
- Bm7 moveable Arpeggio
- 7/4 Time Signature
Could possibly use more notation files and a B5 fretboard however I think what is there could work for now. I may have made a jam track for this (I feel I did, must find it)
Off Pink Floyds 1973 Dark Side of the Moon and their 1st US hit.
- Good Video
- Good Breakdown
- Fretboards
There is also a live stream which should be removed.
There is also a second video with the strum part with the chords: Em G D A
1st Single from his 4th Studio album Reckless (1984)

From the 1969 album titled Led Zeppelin II
First US hit
Old fretboards but work

Just clean up and ready to go.
53 min live stream
Has Good Notation Files and fretboards and would explain Key of G and the Key of F
Steve Miller Band 1973 album called The Joker. This was their 8th studio album.
No Breakdown (possibly not necessary as the notation files that are there already have note names underneath the notes)

Need to give a bit of thought to what other lessons will be part of this Classic Rock Riff series.
It is a Riff Series so should focus on the riffs with just a little extra: scales, arpeggios, chords, rhythm. Part of this would be to plant the seed about selling other courses.
Something else to consider: I might want to use videos from the past for now. Just because if I for example post Rebel Yell Part 2 to the YouTube it might seem to the paying members that they paid for nothing if the videos are all free.
