G Major / E Minor in 2nd Position

G Major/E Minor in 2nd Position

Play from G to G for a G major scale.   You can play one or two octaves.

Play from E to E for an E minor scale.  You will only be able to play this one octave in this position.

This form reinforces the 7th position C major scale from Scale Lesson 14 .

G Major/E Minor Pentatonic in 2nd Position

Remove the 4th and 7th degree from the G major scale and you have a G major pentatonic scale.

Play from E to E and you are playing an E minor pentatonic scale.
