So a lot of changes since the last blog and some big ones at that.\u00a0 You can probably guess by the photo that a new addition happened.\u00a0 Meet Kaya.\u00a0 She was rescued from the SPCA at 4 months old and this picture is from the first week or so that she\u00a0came home.\u00a0 She is much bigger now as this photo was in January.\u00a0 I will post a more recent photo of her in the next blog.\u00a0 Although I don’t really want to turn my blog (not that it is much of a blog anyway – last post was over a year ago – yikes) into a dog blog.\u00a0 She is a very sweet dog but as anyone with a puppy knows, a lot of work.\u00a0 So that is the first big change.<\/p>\n
The other change is really much bigger, for the first time in over two decades I am earning my living doing something other then music.\u00a0 It is kinda sad.\u00a0 But it is also ok.\u00a0 I think I look at it as a necessary step.\u00a0 For those following along you know that when my main gig ended in 2017 and when that did I decided to work full time on the site.\u00a0 My goal was to get the site earning enough to pay my bills and allow me to keep writing and working on the site each day.\u00a0 I gave myself a year.\u00a0 It was a tough year mentally.\u00a0 I made a lot of progress and lots of new members joined, however not enough to pay all the bills.\u00a0 If you are reading this and are a member or were a member for any period of time, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and cannot express to you my gratitude and the importance of each and every one of you.\u00a0 Not only did you contribute to putting food on my table for myself and my boys, you gave me the much needed hope that allowed me to continue.<\/p>\n
And before I go much further, I have not given up on the site nor have I stopped working on the site.\u00a0 And I certainly haven’t given up writing and performing music.\u00a0 It has always been my passion and my love.\u00a0 I don’t see that ever ending.\u00a0 It is just that for the first time in my adult life I have a “real” 40 hour a week job.\u00a0 I gotta say I was a lucky guy for my whole life.\u00a0 This whole 40 hour a week thing, working for someone else, it is odd to me.\u00a0 But again, it is ok, it is what it is.\u00a0 So you are probably asking what on earth am I doing if I am not doing music.\u00a0 I am assuming if you have read this far, you probably have interest.\u00a0 You ready?\u00a0 I am working for a collection agency selling cars, suvs, yachts, motorhomes, motorcycles and other vehicles people were not able to pay for.\u00a0 Just this past week a 2018 Lamborghini Huracan, 2018 Mercedes SL63 AMG and a 2018 Bentley SUV (I didn’t even know Bentley made an SUV) came in.\u00a0 And for those who are unaware, I have always been a car guy.\u00a0 I love cars.\u00a0 Learning about them, driving them, working on them.\u00a0 Although prior to now, it has always just been a hobby.\u00a0 So now I find myself learning about them in order to sell them.\u00a0 As far as having to work a 40 hour a week job, I am ok with the choice I made.<\/p>\n
But let’s come back to the important stuff.\u00a0 Music.\u00a0 I have been working on the site relatively consistently for the last few months.\u00a0 The first few months after the job started I wasn’t doing much, I think between a new job and a puppy I was finding it hard.\u00a0 Now I have settled into the job and the puppy is 11 months old and getting easier and I am finding myself getting excited about the site again and writing.\u00a0 I have been doing a lot of writing and sharing some of the new ideas on the site.\u00a0 I will post a page soon with the new ideas.\u00a0 It is actually up now but the page name is going to change so I don’t want to post it here or the link will be no good once it changes.\u00a0 Also I will be back making videos soon and getting back into the live streams.\u00a0 I have one set for Sept. 12 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
