8 Notes

Looking at the range of a piece of music is generally the determining factor in finding the correct position. Because of the high C I would rule out 1st (open) or 2nd positions.

Ex. 1

Listen
= 60

Listen
= 100

New Notes

New notes on our D string. How do we know F is a half step higher than E? If you used a C position other than open with the shift than you should try playing this exercise in both open and the previous.
Ex.2

Listen
= 60

Listen
