This riff is the post chorus from the tripfuse tune Trust. It is the part that connects the chorus back to the verse.

It is also the riff underneath the solo at the end of the tune.

Drop D Tuning
Drop D tuning means to drop your low E a whole step to a D. To do this play your 4th string D. Let it ring and strike your low E and then tune it down to match the open D but one octave lower. It should probably only be about 1/4 turn on most tuning pegs. You will get better and better just by doing it a lot.

Drop D tuning will allow us to play power chords by just holding one finger across 2 or 3 strings.

Soloing
This is a fun riff to solo over. You can use the D blues scale and any D minor pentatonic stuff. You can also use A harmonic minor scale too.
