tripfuse - Thank You

Yet another song idea being worked on!

thank you/deer lake is a working title until it gets a name.  The initial guitar part came when I took my guitar to Deer Lake.  The thank you part was because it was used as a thank you to all the people who have supported me through the years.  Whether that is by becoming a member of this site or buying tripfuse music or leaving a nice comment on the youtube channel.

Below is the guitar part that started this idea.  I can't say I remember exactly the order but my guess is that it started with the fingerpick pattern and then the chord progression came about next.  That is usually how it works for me.  Usually I am just practicing a pattern and then move it around to different chords so my ears don't get so bored.

Here it is with the note names underneath:

Gm

Gm in 10th position

Ebmaj7

Ebmaj7 in 11th position

Dm7

Dm7 in 10th

F

F bar chord in 10th position

Here is the finger pick pattern for your right hand.

Here are the note names.

Here are the note names.

Here is the first measure.  Note only your first finger will move to switch from Gm to Ebmaj7th.

This rhythmic idea was created from what the thumb plays on the fingerpick pattern.  This becomes an important part for the basis of the rhythmic idea.

At one point I experiment with creating a vocal line using this rhythm.

@tripfuse Sharing another musical idea that expanded on my previous post. I will break it down in another post. #writingmusic #songwriting #writingmelodies #tripfuse #musician ♬ original sound - tripfuse

The Parts

There have been so many parts created all stemming from the initial fingerpick pattern and chord progression that it could probably easily be turned into 2 if not 3 separate songs.

Main Guitar Part and Melody

I Have to See to Believe it - this is the main melody as of Jan. 2024.  There was an earlier melody which you can hear in the video above.  I have decided I do not like that melody.

Started posting on TikTok recently so I will see how they embed onto the site.

@tripfuse Back singing the main melody. Previous post breaks it down with guitar. #writingmusic #songwriting #tripfuse ♬ original sound - tripfuse

Feel You Here

Feel You Here - vocal line that uses the same rhythm as the shots (thumb from main fingerpick guitar part).

All This Time

All This Time - sixteenth note vocal idea with a distorted guitar part.

The two potential guitar parts.  I posted a few videos asking which part people preferred.  The general consensus seemed to be the faster pull off part with the squeal.

@tripfuse Which of these two guitar parts do you like better? Comment and let me know ?003f003f?003f003f#writingmusic #guitar #musician #tripfuse #arpeggios#guitarsqueal ♬ original sound - tripfuse

Wishing I Was Stronger

Wishing I Was Stronger - guitar stays on Gm, bass playing half notes, simple melody

Don't Need This

No Don't Need This - another syncopated vocal line however a different rhythm then the first one.  Guitar is playing two measure of fingerpick pattern on Gm and then 2 measure of Gm/F
