To finish measure 2 and basically the main riff that drives the entire song, play your Dsus4 to D like page 2 and then strum up on Asus4 on the '&' of beat 2.
The D chord on the "&" of beat 1 is tied to an eighth note on beat two. The two eighth notes tied together would have the same value as a quarter note and we will not strum the 2nd one on the downbeat of 2). Because the Asus4 happens on the "&" of beat 2, we will use an up stroke.
